Lauderdale International Film Festival, the 2012 Colorado Environmental Film Festival, the 2012 Queens World Film Festival, the 2012 Buffalo Niagara Film Festival, and the 2012 River Bend Film Festival. Also received the "Royal Reel Award" at the Canada International Film Festival and an Honorable Mention in Long Form Fiction at the 2012 Suncoast High School Student Television Awards for Excellence (Suncoast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences). A Lesson in a Box is the touching story of a man, Old Sam, and a teenage boy, Tyler, who cross paths and form an incredible bond in only a short period of time. However, this special bond seems to serve a purpose and Tyler soon realizes that meeting Sam has opened his eyes to some great things in the world others neglect to take part in.
